I’ve filed a bug against formatting so we can take a look at how we can do better here.

This is, of course, a very vast area, so if you have specific issues and cases where formatting often fails, do post them here or on our forums: http://www.myeclipseide.com/forums

    The command to reformat the current file (Ctrl+Shift+F) does some very strange things to a complex JSP and JavaScript. Also it would be nice if that command could be used to format the currently selected code vs the whole file all the time.
